no one knows how to??

I've not been there myself, but by private transport, it shouldn't be too difficult to follow a road map, right?

what is the special thing about this forest? is it a national park or forest reserve? :dunno:

seems like it's dense forest. Popular with bird enthusiasts.
About 10-20km further beyond Kota Tinggi, which is about an hour's drive from JB, or less.

wah! the map shows so many Recreational Forests around Johor. must be a photographer's haven. :D

Not really. They are just a few patches left after all the other areas have been converted into palm oil plantations. Check with Google Earth (the dedicated application), you'll see more details and also the markers from other people. The Kota Tinggi Waterfalls are not far away.

Are you planning to climb Gunung Panti? If so, the easiest way is to first get to Kota Rainforest Resort, as the entrance to the trail head is not obvious and could be hard to find for those who are not familiar with the area.

Here is how to get there:
1. Get to JB Larkin bus station (170, 160, CW1, CW2, etc).
2. Take a public bus to Kota Tinggi.
3. At Kota Tinggi bus station, you can either take a public bus or a taxi to Kota Tinggi Waterfall (aka Wet World Resort). If you're taking bus, tell the bus conductor to alight you at Kota Rainforest Resort. Don't go all the way to the waterfall, otherwise it is a 45mins walk.
4. If you're climbing Panti and are not familiar with the jungle trail, I suggest you engage a guide service with Kota Rainforest Resort (perhaps beforehand). Here is their website. There is also a location map on their website.

Good luck and have fun. :)
