FINAL Details on WORKSHOP

Hi everyone,

Ive transfered the workshop details here as requested... anyways, please view the attached files for information of the workshop... location and models will be mentioned to those who have paid the down-payment... I will be photographing the models that will be used in the workshop when I will be there this holly week.

Who should attend the workshop:
- if you like what you see and want to learn how its done
- If you want to learn shooting portrait the easy way
- if you are building your own portfolio
- Beginners as well as Photographers who wanted to expand their knowledge

GEARs:
- DSLR
- lens- any, even kit lens will do.
- Reflectors if you have one, its the most useful accessory that you need and very cheap


Guys, I really want this to push thru so if you have friends that wanted to learn and like what you see please let them know to reach the number of participants since I'm spending my personal money to pay for airfare, accommodation, models fee and other misc expenses of the workshop...

i saw 'Workshop fee $195'. kinda of small print though.

Moved from Exhibition/Events to Workshops as it belongs here. Benjamin has approached me earlier for permission to post this workshop as he is based in Philippines and he will submit the workshop subscription to us upon confirmation that workshop is going ahead.

Benjamin - It would be beneficial if you could specify the minimum quorum needed to go ahead with the shoot (eg 15 pax, 20 pax).

Also, I am not sure if participants are willing to send you the 50% downpayment before confirmation of the shoot as it is a significant amount - in this respect, we can discuss about being the escrow for the downpayment (for security/insurance).

I will be there during the holy week and wanted to meet everyone (if possible) so that I can meet everyone and have set up a paypal account for the convenience of everyone. If workshop will not push thru will return the payment back thru their accounts.

Benjamin,

I believe that using us as an escrow for the down-payment would be of more benefit to the members in case of any issues arising out of this - I am just pre-empting potential conflicts, not saying that you are going to cheat the members out of their money.

I will have to insist on this (even though it will mean more work for me) to protect both the members and yourself.

Please take a moment to consider. In the meantime, I will lock this thread until we can work out the arrangements on collection of down-payment.

After some discussion with Benjamin, he has agreed to allow us to act as an escrow in collecting deposits for his workshop.

Please note that this is NOT an official endorsement of the workshop, nor does Benjamin have any other ties with ClubSNAP other than that of an ordinary workshop organiser. Benjamin will be paying us the Workshop subscription amount similiar to other organisers. We are doing this as :-
a) Benjamin is based overseas
b) to provide members security in getting their deposits back in case the workshop does not go ahead as the amount of deposit requested is substantial.
c) to provide Benjamin with assurance that there is a minimum amount of participation.

To subscribe to this Workshop (the cost is S$195 if members have not noticed), please do the following :-
1) Update this thread with your preferred date.
2) Go to this link - Paid Subscriptions
3) Select the Benjamin Young Workshop Deposit option right at the bottom
4) Follow through with the subsequent PayPal payment procedures.

Once I have confirmed payment, I will update that you have paid the deposit next to your name on the list. Names without deposits may be removed or priority given to members who have paid up.

Benjamin will collect the balance of the workshop payment (S$95) on the day of the workshop itself.

When we have confirmed that the workshop has been conducted, we will release the amount collected as deposit to Benjamin.

However, if there are no-shows to the workshop (eg deposit paid, but did not turn up on the day), Benjamin will reserve the right to keep the deposit and refunds will be given upon his discretion.

Should the workshop be cancelled, we will refund the deposits to the members. If the workshop is postponed to a later date, we will provide the option to members to get a refund, or for us to keep the deposit to participate at the changed date(s).

I trust that this is agreeable to both organiser and members. Thread is re-opened for signing up.
