yes, some effects done in camera are nicer, remember read a book from National Library, a lady photographer using motion blur and multiple exposure blur on flowers.
love that effect.

The pics were blurred with an intention to be so, rather than to be from a mistake in the first place.

But it can be pretty subjective to individual taste.
