buying new lenses ? upgrade new bodies ? paid photoshoots ?

No, because I dun feel the recession. :bsmilie:

I still bought a Nikon prime lens recently to avoid the price increase which really did happen as announced.

Just take a look at any of the restaurants* in the town area during the weekends.

They are packed full of people!!!

What recession??

Although many people have lost their jobs, even more people are still employed out there and enjoying themselves as usual.

* A bit OT here but my favourite Italian restaurant Spageddies has closed down due to the recession. I tried calling their office phone number but got one of those automated messages stating that the number was no longer in use. Their branch in Marina Square was all boarded up.

I'm not surprised. Spageddies taste like crap, even me with a $4.99 bottle of Preggo sauce and a $1.99 packet of dried pasta can cook food that taste better than that place, with a portion that can feed the whole family mind you.

Recessions only applicable to the poor...it's the opportunity to the rich...look at the condo launch over the weekend

Anyhow back to the question, it will definately affects my decission in spending as priority is to stay prudent and maximize savings now.

Recession makes me post more in Kopitiam.

Good times make me shoot more XMMS.

:bsmilie:

I am pretty much t y p i c a l.... ;p

No coz even before recession i limit and review my spending on photographic all equipment. But now it affects because more models ask for paid photoshoot instead coz recession

eating in restaurants does not mean there's no recession.
In a recession I rather spend money on food than buying a camera.
it's an immediate and tangible sense of satisfaction for a lower price.
Retail is a better indication of recession I think

yeah definitely, think twice about spending on lens these days, especially with the bad times set to continue for quite a while
