my camera got splash by the rain, do i dry it with a hair dryer?

how bad do you mean by getting 'splash' by rain? did it seep into your camera and is your camera one with the weather resistent seals? if its just wet on the surface, wiping it dry with a cloth and letting is air before putting it into your dry box/cabi should be fine. if water has gone in, erm just hope your camera is fine as I don't think using a hairdryer would help. it might in fact cause too much heat and damage your camera.

jus some drizzle only...

drizzle only..dont worry...the heat from the hair dryer might damage the electronics instead..

ahh then it should be fine, wipe it with a cloth and let it air. check that your lense is not wet, else it may leave a mark.

If kana rain I wash my camera on tap to make sure it is clean :bsmilie:
the joy of using oly e-3

I follow up by throwing it into a clothes dryer machine. That is the joy of using a Nikon, bulit to last :bsmilie:

Hahahahaha..... 2day juz let my EOS 1Ds MARK III and my EOS 30D have the 'bath'.... My canon EOS 1Ds MARK III enjoyed the most in the rain... I wiped and used the blower and blow out the water where they are..... :sweatsm:

Hair dryer? I suppose the name suggest you to keep it to hair. Just give the camera a few wipes and you'll be fine.

use the microwave. more thourough. hair dryer only dries the outside. microwave able to dry the inside too. better.

btw, if camera touch water will spoil, better not buy.

Wah, good idea! It can also helps to remove condensation in the lens when travelling in cold temperate countries. Just walk into any 7-11 and use their mircowave will solve the problem, so convenient :bsmilie:
