dry cabi question

just wondering if theres any problem with my dry cabi.
the green lights constantly on, i have to keep the knob at the 2 o'clock position for it to be about 45% humidity and when i turn off the power, the humidity increases very quickly.

if u off power, sure humidity will increase quickly ma... mine worst, new one some more, so hard to set it at 45% RH.... it always drop below it, and i need to open door to increase... cant be bother by it any more...

Dry cabinets are not air-tight, so the minute you turn off the power supply, humidity increases.

How it works is there's something at the back that will go very cold to condense the water vapour within the cabinet, then the condensate will be absorbed by a sponge thingy outside the cabinet to evaporate into the air. If you turn off the power supply, water vapour doesn't condense anymore, so naturally humidity will go up.

Leave it on. I don't think it consumes very much power. =)

Is there any reason to switch it off? Dry cabinets are supposed to run 24hours.

AD no. DHC yes.

This is an automatic process / switching by the dry cabinet. You don't pull the plug at all. Read the linked postings.

Your dry cabinet is placed in a high humidity area thus the high speed of change.

Leave the dry cabinet on, it only draws 5watts anyway.

err...depending on the model of the dry cab. not all cabi have this auto feature.

Even if the dry cabinet doesn't have the automatic RH management one doesn't pull the plug. They are built to run 24x7.
