Hi All,

Pls advise what do you use to sign on the back of a print?

Many thanks.

enlargement of an image.....

thanks......have been told not use a pen as the ink will fade.......as for pencil, it doesn't write well on it.....
Pen has many types...... so are the prints.

questions are not specific, answer will be like wise.

go popular and test all the pens n markers on the paper until u shiok

the print is on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Supreme Paper......thanks.......

Use one of those permanent marker lah. Get a fine tip one. That will write on any surface and it is permanent. Try the brand MARVY MARKERs. You find them sold commonly at all stationary shops.. Cheap and good. Normal ball point pen will not write on those photo prints as it has a plastic laminate to it.

I use my ballpoint pen to make notes on the back of photo paper before I expose them. Even after the developer, stopbath, fixer and washing, the ink doesn't smudge nor fade.

I use a Parker, but that's only cos that's the only ballpoint pen I bring along. Any other ballpoint pen will work.

if not sure on which permanent marker to buy
you can play it safe (and spend abit more $$$) by choosing a CD marker

hi guys, thank you for all your suggestions, will try them out.

Thought of using a customised stamp & ink?
Depends how many prints you have...

tried out some of the pencils at Art Friend.......for the brand Staedtler, 5B is the best, surprisingly, 6, 7, or 8B don't write as well as 5B for this brand....tried the others that are available..............

finally, I bought this brand Cretacolor 9B pencil which is better than Staedtler.....

the paper tried on is Fujicolor Crystal Archive Supreme Paper......

Those OHP (permanent ink) markers should be ok, no?
