Summary
Currently 4 people interested, awaiting confirmation
Type of travel: Photographic, Backpacking F&E, Co-planning
Accom: as cheap as possible, room for safety, proximity to old towns.
Itinerary is only tentative. Partners interested will co-plan and everything is negotiable.

Currently waiting for partner to share the GV2 flight (two to go, cheaper by S$300 each), local transport and accom (twin doubles if male... if female, up to you).

Dates and duration
Tentatively in june as interested members prefered, weather is summer at abt 18-26C. tentatively thinking of leaving on Fri and returning on Sun over 2 weeks, or about 16 days over 3 weekends. excluding night of departure from sg.

Depending on availability of one of the member, the trip duration may be from
5th to 21st June, or
12th to 28th June
including the midnight flight at 11pm on 5th and 12th (fri) and arrival back in sg at 4pm (sun).

Cost
Cost of flight + major transport + accomodation abt S$2000 (plus 200 just in case)
Food and minor transport hopefully <S$600
Total S$2300-2800

Itinerary
i have got some advices from sgtravel and although some suggested travelling down albania, i have tentatively reserved the croatian leg becos i wanted to see the diocletian palace at split and the sea organ at zadar, but that is negotiable if any partner joins and thinking otherwise. Target to travel via sarajevo (bosnia) and kotor in montenegro then along the south dalmatian coast and islands of the adriatics from dubrovnik to zadar, then back to sarajevo.

wow! adventure!

back packing trip?

is it feasible to bring along those hard case luggage type?

Not very feasible IMO but do get those with strong big wheels & I do mean strong ones. Many streets in Europe are cobblestoned or not well paved like major cities. Unless you guys are getting cabs, butlers etc.

Sounds like a trip I would love to go if only I'm 10yrs younger & a better back! :D

Good luck to you guys & please do post pics!

there is currently already 6 ppl interested, though not all confirmed. tentatively holding off receiving new mates, if not the group may get too big. any suggestions or advices for the trip is otherwise welcomed.

good luck and have a safe trip!

I was in Croatia in 2002, I think. I did Zagreb, Split, Hvar and another place (i forgot the name) for a day trip. I missed going to Dubrovnik, supposed to be very nice.

I would love to join you guys, but I do not know my work schedule.

Enjoy.

envy envy :lovegrin: Way too busy with work to join a lengthy travel like this...

Have a good trip Zoossh :)

remember to share your pictures...i cant go on such long trip due to work committment:(...
I would love to go for a trip just to take pictures...

Very interesting trip.. too bad i planning to go eastern europe or greece with my wife already. i think for info on Kotor, you can try www.gokotor.com as i saw it on the silverkris mag before.

zooosh - where do you call to get the visa for bosnia & hercegovina? when i checked visahq it seems singaporeans need a visa into bosnia, and the embassy is in jakarta -_*

me and my gf will be backpacking around that time, may coincide with your travel plans. if you don't mind, maybe we could do a short meetup then if we do pass by :)
