Creating a perfect HDR

Does it affect the outcome when the 3 x exposures is done via a software (ACDSEE) instead of capturing it physically?

I have been experimenting the effects of HDR, but just couldnt grasp the right results.
Seeking help from sifus out there, any advice is much appreciated.

3. Photomerge using PS
4. Use photomatix for process

But i just couldnt mimic the perfect HDR which i have seen in this forum.

Why would you take 3 identical photos?
Isn't that the same as making 2 additional copies of the same photo in your PC?
weird...

And the steps to posting photos on this forum, are shown in one of the stickies on posting photos, if you just spend the few minutes to search through it.

i just do bracketing of the shoot hence with image with +2EV, 0EV and -2EV exposure. then use photomatix to merge and process the image.

No need to merge the image with PS.

When you capture 3 images. You are suppose to capture them at different exposures. For example, for 3 shots, -1ev, 0ev, +1ev. Use the auto-bracketing function of your camera if it has one.

yes, I'm afraid that Photomatix costs $$.

I'm not really into HDR.
GIMP can allow you to combine images using layers and masks, to achieve the HDR effect. Not so straightforward, of course...

Yes, you have to pay for the full version.
it's a neat and straight forward programme.
