Hi, I like to takes photos during trips, holidays and most event I participate... I like to have myself in those photos so it can be a good memory for me.

But somehow, being the photographer means you will have less chance to be appear on any photos you taken... Especially in events like a group outing / friends gathering / friends wedding...

Of course sometimes can ask people to help taking own photos... but again, chances are low....

not strictly self potrait, but rather as part of the group in any picture... is like others are busy BBQing, and you can take thier photos, but cannot b part of it...

Of course tripod and remote trigger is a good aswer to it... but I feel just not suit all situations..

anyway just my feelings :)

then employ someone dedicated.

else just put a camera there for everyone to use. you wanna have everyone in every pic?

Well.. if there are more than one photographer, then the answer is there... help shoot each other. But if there is only ONE, then too bad... this is the problem

thought a photographers dilemma will be which pic really CMI...

But then again, some people like me, cannot tahan being infront of the camera...unless it is really dark and no one can see me.

Mega Shoot off...

Back to Back facing..count 10 steps in front...turn around and shoot. The person that got the most shots win...

Dat was what happened to my friend and I...lost...her cam got 10fps. Mine 3fps. And hers prosumer...

But eh...TS...your cam got self timer rite? Den why not use self timer??

Just pass ur DSLR to someone in the grp. I'm sure there will be pple who are curious and liked to play with ur camera. In this case, then u can be in the photos too. :D

most of us will feel like you .....

my experience changed long ago when I asked a photographer why she didn't want me to use her camera to shoot her in faraway places during a holdiay trip.
She told me that firstly, she is a photographer, and being that she shoots and not be shot. Secondly, in any group photos shot by her, even without her face on them, she would see herself clearly "stamped" on it.
After that, I never had this dilemma again ....

if you want yr face to be in it, just pass your camera to anyone available and smile. :p

Ya got... just that not so convenience to use it all the time...
But yes, passing the camera to someone else will be a good idea... Just that sometimes, that person could have really poor photographing techniques... Experienced before. cannot frame properly.. .

Ha ha.

Probably just hired another dedicated person.

Do what I do:

1. Self take without tripod (turn the camera facing you and take)
2. Dun take
3. Take without yourself
4. Take in front of the mirror
5. Put your camera on the BBQ pit and turn on timer with without tripod. hehe

U can buy me a D3x and bring me on holiday with you......... everyday confirm got at least 100-200 shots of you.......... how? Swee boh? :bsmilie:

Jokes aside, if u go on trip with yr family, u definitely want to have some photos of the whole family together, just for memory sake. Normally I would bring a tripod and use self timer (remote control would be better choice but I dont have it yet.)
