Was really tied up running errands and hobbling around with a twisted ankle.
Just managed to take some shots from Penang Road.
All with the K20D and FA 28-200mm.

Twisted ankle? That's troublesome.
What time were you there, Denis?

Anyway, we broke another record this month.
For the smallest Pentaxian gathering, this time around. Only met Equator, istDes and his friend. :bsmilie:

Will upload my stuff much later on, since I just got back home.

To Creampuff - Hope you get better, bro. And you've just caught the essence of the event!

[Calling out to those who went] "More pictures, Pentaxians!"

* * *
Next time, I'll just go on the 2nd day. Went on Saturday night with Franz, and being my 1st attempt at Thaipusam, I have no idea that it's be a night where they're just getting prepared! So no needle piercing, no head dress, not much painting ... no drama ... :(

In any case, still want to share some of mine here ...

Nice photos Bernard, did you use flash?

I'm too bad at shooting night scene.. still prefer daylight

You don't need the flash if you are using the FA Limiteds at night, Joseph! I believe you've got the whole set as well, isn't it? Just "whack"! I was using f2.0 most of the time, with iso 800.

Unfortunately, I'd to go to the hospital this morning. Else, I may have pop by and join Desmond, Baracus and yourself.

haha, but i find low-light focusing of princesses not so reliable leh..

I tried hard to capture their facial expressions, that really faithful type of look

So many great shots capturing the devotees and the event. Nice punchy colours and expressions.
Just wish I could have been with you guys...

Congrats, Baracus! New Lens! Isn't f2.5 lovely?

Yeah. But I used f4 all the way. 135mm seemed tight though. Didn't expect to be this up close. Anyway, still PP-ing my shots

And Equatorer, FA77 really is THE portrait lens. (behind a capable shooter too)
Struggling to get sharp shots with my "granfather" K-lens.

Wow! Great shot guys!

Creampuff, hope your twisted ankle is not that bad. get well soon.

spotted Equatorer, a quick snap of him.
