I will like to ask for the price of a 2nd hand 450D.

By looking at the market right now, a kit of 450D can cost up to 1100-1200 at those recommended shops.
But what amaze me is that, some people at the forum are selling thier 2nd hand 450D kit at as high as 900-1000 for a body onli.

So i will like to ask, what is the right price for a second hand 450D in general excluding extended warranty?

So i would like to ask, did you even bother to try a search or look in the Canon marketplace section, where second-hand goods are sold? Did you build an index of the prices, considered the negotiation margin, and figured that maybe the seller is not aware of the current market price?

As I have been noticing, alot of people have been selling their cameras at a relatively high rates, comparatively to the market price. It's not only one seller. And that puzzles me because they have been selling their 2nd hand 450d at a high price. So what concerns me is that what is the right price to ask for a 2nd hand 450d? Am I setting too low or too high for a 2nd hand 450d? Or this is the trend all the while....

Some might think they can fetch the same high rate from a 2nd hand body as from a lens in 10/10 condition. For lenses it's ok to ask for 90% of shop price even after 1 year. But electronics drop much steeper, some just don't notice or they hope some newbie will grab. Considering the fact that Canon brings out a new body roughly after 18 months the 2nd hand price cannot be stable at high level.

The right price is the one buyer willing to pay and the seller willing to sell :)

Some seller is just "testing market" to see if there are offer good enough for them to go through all the trouble of meeting up and selling.

I'm keeping my made in japan 300D now as it's "worth more" than the trouble of selling it at a low price.
