Followup to the other survey on increment.

The no. of months includes the 13th month. Hence, if you just got the 13th month, then you should tick 1 month.

Thanks again!

Wah, got pple actually get 6 months and above!

?? Quite a number of MR grade civil servants got 6mths what , its not uncommon for private side also, you work hard of course got good bonus. Whats so suprising about this?

Well, are you telling me that there are MR grade people here? I'm referring to most common folks.

Anyway, its just a survey, no need to get so uptight about it :)

I wouldn't be be suprised, anyways thats for civil service , and some industries are still doing well. Especially the debt collection agencies. Their profits have sky rocketed.

Wun know till April. Received aws tho. :)

actually, my company don't give bonus... we just get good pay increments. but this year... don't have... hahaha.

Haven't gotten yet as Company announces Financial results in Mar. But HR say already no increment... :(

you know, someone pointed out that if a year is 52 weeks, then divided by 4 weeks per month, you actually get 13 months. So that 13th month is not a bonus. It's supposed to be given. Every company is just trying to do a 1984 rewrite on it.

then wat about that 1.25 day?
Work for free ar?

.

I'm too surprised 25% got 6 months and above .thats really cool
perhap's we need to list down the organisations giving 6 + months bonus in troubled times:)

You mean 0.25 day per year.

Why not solve for 13th month first then pro rate.

Hehe, sometimes I think pple may just be playing a fool in polls - hence you tend to see funny stats in the extremes. I'm more inclined to put greater weight on those not in the extremes.

Much like how in some competitions where there are 5 judges, they delete the highest and lowest scores and take average of the rest :)

Actually that is based on the assumption that a month is 4 weeks, which it is not. 4 weeks is only 28 days, and only Feb has 28 days.

Of course, if you are a daily rated or weekly rated worker, you will get paid based on the actual no. of weeks anyway. If you're a monthly rated worker, you get the same based on whatever month it is. Hence it is wrong to say that the 13th month is an entitlement.

Heard from my friend's wife joined ICA not too long ( few months ) got 2.5 mth bonus and a colleague working higher up the chain got 4 mths.

Year end bonus for civil servants is all the same , only PB varies and some grades got Variable Bonus etc. So how can someone higher get more. Its the same even for ministers, The YEB is the same. Their pay day 6mths etc is from Performance Based Bonus which is in April.

Thank for the input but I was not passing judgement on how well they payout bonus or not. The TS is gathering data so I am just providing what data I found out.
