i've got a super old toshiba m10 from my poly days..it's way past its prime..speakers are wonky, screen won't stand, some keys won't work, dead pixels and a cd drive that won't spin...i want to know...

should i just throw it away?

or can i get a couple of cents out of it?

or is it possible to pimp it up/resurrect it?

basically if you can make it as if its docked (additional keyboard, mouse, USB CDROM, USB speaker, monitor) then you can still use it. but if you don't have all these items no point buying them. get a new cheap notebook better - faster cpu

Try some shops at serangoon area where they export these precious to 3rd countries. You might not get over $100, but at least something.

i was thinking more of selling it for scrap parts if there's such a thing? maybe they could cannibalize the parts of it that do work..or some crazy artist could turn it into a profound art piece

really just wanted to know if there are any other options other than throwing it away

thanks 3in1c...will consider

There is a niche --- someone else who uses an old notebook may need more RAM. Once my colleague had an old pentium 7-8 years ago and wanted more RAM so he had to pay a few times the normal price to get the old type of RAM.
