Color Problem

Hi, I just got my photos to be printed recently and found out that the some colour ex blue and black turn out differently on the prints as compared to what I see on the computer. I also make clear to the shop that i do not want any colour correction so as to know my screen colour accuracy. Does anyone know how to solve this problem.?? Thanks

Check with your printer what color space they accept - sRGB or AdobeRGB. Change your color space in ps to match your printer. Still you will see differences in blue coz the color gamut of printer is smaller than your monitor.

Change another printer if you still dun like the blue and black from this printer.

You cannot ask for uncorrected prints in order to check whether your screen colours are accurate or not. There are many factors that influence the appearance of colours in the prints (machine type, paper type, ink type, skills of the person etc.) so that it is impossible to make any reasonable judgment about the monitor accuracy based on prints. Every crystal ball guessing would be more accurate.
Get some hardware calibrators or at least do some software profiling for a minimum baseline profiling of your monitor. If your monitor comes with factory ICC profile then use this first.
Afterwards you can try prints with several print shops using different machines (Fuji, Kodak etc.) and asking for "no correction". Only then you are able to do a halfway accurate judgment about colours in prints.
Regarding colour space: use sRGB only, forget the rest.

icic, I using a acer travelmate laptop to do the editing of photos in lightroom.
That means i should get a calibrator first.
Maybe I can go to another shop, example i went to fujifilm, then i should go to kodak next, to test out the prints again? with no colour correction

Yes, after you have profiled your monitor. Without profiling you don't know what was your input for the lab print.

Software (means: your eyes need to judge, can be tiring and prone to errors): Monitor Calibration Wizard.
Hardware: Spyder2, Spyder3.

yeah. don't adjust colors if your monitor is uncalibrated. it will ended up worse than started. if you do not have calibrating hardware, best to only adjust levels and not color balance.

Yes. Check the menu of your screen, reset to factory defaults before you do anything with Spyder & Co. Follow the instructions, Spyder is really good. Once the profile is loaded have a look at your pictures, might be surprising
