hi,
I just realised in my D90 kit len 18-105, have a white small particle at the front glass unable clean since its inside, other than NSC, where else can i get someone "pro" to clean and the cost?

there is no need to clean, unless that speck is the size of a 5 cent coin.

cleaning at NSC is 80 plus before GST. cleaning by another nice bro here online is bout 50.

if it doesnt affect your picture, dun bother about it. dust is gonna come back after a while. what for waste that money for nothing.

give it to me la... if you dunno where to put it. haha.

I also had the same speck on my 18-105mm kit lens when I got it 3 weeks ago, but too lazy to take it back - such a hassle!
I tried to clean it but it seems to be a minor flaw with the protective coating on the lens. It doesnt affect the quality of my pictures (I cannot see any evidence from any of my shots), so i'm just going to leave it.

some dust inside the lens is inevitable, and most of the time it won't affect the image quality unless it is very very bad.

if you send it for clearing, it will come back again, it wouldn't be 100% clean.

learn to live with it.

if you insist, can send it to the Nikon Service Center or contact fatigue for a quote

ok, its my first lens after all, ok not much of IQ affected :)

Thanks Catchlights.

I agree on what he said: learn to live with it and enjoy shooting

It's not that expensive to have it removed but if you send it for cleaning every time there's dust, it would cost you a lot.

I like to quote this..

using old thread to post this..
how many of you, when using your lens over the time, and the lens zooming mechanism turned loose, (the type of loose such that you can jus pull or push the lens in and out), will take back the lens to tighten or just ignore?
