Advice on Travelling pls

Hi, i will be travelling next month and will be bringing my DSLR for the first time overseas. ;p
My concern is what do i do when i am approaching the x-ray machine. Pardon this noobie question cos I do not know whether the rays will affect the camera. :sweat:

You gotta keep your camera in a lead casing to prevent x-ray damage.

Just scan it as per normal. After all, it's been done millions of times by other DSLR travelers. You don't hear anyone complaining of a damaged DSLR after an X-ray do you?

i've been travelling with my DSLR for more than 7 years..and countless Xray scans. it's still serving me well

don't worry about it. i think the problem with xray machines are mainly with films and negatives.

X-ray manchine won't harm/spoil/demage the camera in anyway. There will only be problem with high speed film around.. ISO800 to 1600?

whatever you do,

just don't say "bomb"

just kidding. nothing will happen to your camera, most x-ray machines are more than well catered for the needs of today's travellers

Some places does not allow you to carry batteries in cabin! seriosly!
So if you have spare batteries, please put them into your check in lugage.

I have rechargable AA batteries once in my cabin luggage and it causes a security concern in Myanmar local airport.
The other 4 which is in the flashlight is not a concern somehow.

Dont ask me the logic on how the security people thinks, even here it is a big puzzle for me.

Finally the pilot agree to bring with him, and he give me back when we landed in another city (internal flight).
Lucky they never detect my extra camera batteries, which I have in my pocket!
