Would like to know all CS, which is most important for you to most body or LENS?

I know some ppl may respond LENS, in this case why ppl keep upgrade the body?
is body and LENS is = important??

After select the choice kindly state the reason why?

I think both are important, because it is only sensible to upgrade the component that you find lacking or limiting?

both are important.
so u must plan your budget and upgrading pathway well.

see whether the person know how to use the system is most important...an experienced photographer with PnS most of the time will produce nicer photos then DSLR users who have no idea what they are doing.

everyone has their own requirements like myself. For me i believe good lens on old body beats lowest end lens on Pro body. reasoning is because i only upgrade body if i have totally exhausted all the options my current body offers either by technique or modifications.

i think body is more important. not the camera body, but your own. and what goes on in it when you raise the camera to your eye.

Since both is one of the option in the poll, i believe most ppl will choose both instead of 1 item.. Coz although X item might be more important than Y item, but doesnt mean X not important....

Like taking about cars, a ferrari engine on a toyota body will not perform the same way or even near as a original ferrari... ;)

i choose lens. why?...

imagine this -> (20D + 17-55/2.8IS) or (50D + 18-55IS), which combo will you choose?

**Im not discriminating "18-55 IS", i got one and love to use it.

In this digital era. Both are equally important (I think).
Anyway, the most important is whether you make full use out of it.;p Have fun with what you have.

Both are equally important, lens must be sharp & focus quickly + accurately.

Body should have good noise control throughout ISO range & can work with lens to focus quickly + accurately.

LENS...

If your body is still giving what you need on most of your shots...

Money is most important, otherwise where to get camera body & lens.:bsmilie:

if u get a simple pns a shot, no matter what, if it is well placed, will and WILL be good,
however the quality that comes out if another factor,
so the most important is the person 1st, when he/she has build up that skill to get a good shot, the cameara is the limiting factor,

lens, i dont even thing we can see the diff in quality unless there is close inspections
of the photo

Lenses la, body technology move much faster with higher pixel, more functions etc...... your camera body bought 1 year ago probably already outdated liao,.... lenses not much technology......:bsmilie:

Taking up photography is not a cheap hobby..
as least you need to invest 1K to 2K....to own a DSLR & the rest of the equipment.
So body and lens may not be a concern to some ppl.....

But put $$$ aside...What is most important for a ppl would like to take nice and great photos?? Lens or Body? So in the first place, if their pix turn out not that great...
they should think is the LENS or body issue.... I know some of them may said is still due to the person taking the pix....

I think both are important, because it is only sensible to upgrade the component that you find lacking or limiting?

But some ppl, been using their old camera body, but still unable to give good result....
so meaning body is not very important compare to LENS?

see whether the person know how to use the system is most important...an experienced photographer with PnS most of the time will produce nicer photos then DSLR users who have no idea what they are doing.

I agree with you... quite sometime ago...
saw a TV show... a PRO Fashion photographer using a film PNS to shot his model.
so that meaning the camera body and LENS is not important at all..
But still why so many ppl invest into LENS and DSLR....and that really cost a lot of $$$$...

i choose lens. why?...

That's a very good Question....
So if you only this 2 option...

You would choice which?:dunno:

eventually, you will make your way to a full frame body and an L lens.

agreed :)

What if you own a FF and a normal LENS..
So meaning body is important to you......??!?!!?

Let's not talk abt digital era...
still there are ppl using film to shot pix....
so let make is common for all...
just body and lens....
I think for film camera body... there are not high tech function but still able to shot nice pix...so meaning that also got to do with the person and lens??

I know and agree taking pix and having fun and enjoy the shot you took end of the day...
but sometime all the pix we shot on that day... all turn out to be not what you wanted...
so is that still fun for you end of the day?

Agree.. LENS technology is not that advance compare to Body..
what by camera is going for high ISO and pixels....meaning with all these in place
you just need to get a normal LENS... and that will help you take good exposure pix?

But some ppl said they dont not need to high pixel.. since they don't not print so BIG pix...
So meaning just own a good lens will help to have a good pix.....

sound like... you own a high tech GUN and the bullet still the same over many many years...

as what you can see ppl are more focus on body technology.. but what abt LENS?

Personally will pay more attention to original quaiity lens(I will save $$$ for the pro lens. ultimate goal-Holy trinity):)
