Enquiry on Studio Lighting

Hi, I'm pretty new to branding of studio equipments. Can I kindly ask for photographers here that have good understanding of these equipments, what are the different brandings available and what is your feel towards the pro and cons of each ? I'm asking in specific to studio strobes of roughly 600W. Which produce consistent white balance output ? More reliable and what is the average cost of such equipment.

1st of all, i will suggest buy the cheapest to play around, as too many buy and dun use at all, meaning u must need it before u purchase an item.

Have a feel before getting it, u may tried out the lights in the outing organized in those threads.

Think the cheapest is jingbei??? Not sure, my lights was purchased 10 yrs ago.

Then, there are umbrella, softbox etc to consider as well, so do note what are those and the purpose and cost. Also have combs etc.

I'm not really into buying a set yet as photography is a hobby to me and I'm not earning from it, so unless I have a good reason then I will invest in one. Meanwhile I would like to find out more about the branding and reliability of these equipments. I would like to rent one if possible for a photoshoot that I'm planning. I would like to find out how they perform and what are the brands available.
