I don't know where to post this, but since i am a pentaxian, i will gather information from all the 'guru' here...........
Which dslr got the best jpeg straight out of camera in-built processor? Anyone like to share?

So far from my limited experience with Pentax models K10D and K20D, I find K20D jpeg is a lot better compared to K10D, done a few events just shooting jpeg and most turn out great. ;p

Eh, is this a serious question? K20D lah. :)
I rarely shoot RAW anymore because the jpeg output is that good.

looks like i must upgrade to k20d liao............:bsmilie:

after checking the k20d with cathay, MS....etc, they are still ex at $17xx-$18xx for body... check fujifilm forum, the s5pro trash everything in term of color accuracy and it only cost less than $1.2k now.....

Even the mediocre and performing len on the K100D can boost, by K20D jpeg advertsing standard. You have to believe until you see for yourself...

You can have some bad shots, do alot of trails with your custom setting. Some will really shines.

Cmos Sensor is powerful but sensitive to slight adjustment.

Why not try Amazon at :
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht..._rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=464732691&pf_rd_i=515382011

K20 body USD720.00 x 1.5 + GST = S$ 1,160.00 + Low Cost VPost Shipment.

I'm curious though. With all these talk about how great the jpgs are for he K20D, how does it compare with the K200D?
I know the jpegs of the K100D were reported to be better than the K10D, so had the K20D caught up with the K100D or actually surpassed it? Does the K200D and K20D have the same jpeg output quality now?
Perhaps the newer K-m would be even better?:)

I try to order but was rejected, only for US:(

You have to use one of those forwarding services like Vpost (expensive..believe me, I ordered through them) who give you a US address to ship to or scour through ebay instead. Some of the retailers are SLS-type who will still ship to Singapore. But as with all internet purchases, do your homework and accept some risk.
But why go through the hassle when for a little more, you can get a set here with proper warranty ?

hahaha:bsmilie:go 1 round and back to square one, buy local.....

You have to register with Amazon and VPost Sinagpore as member.

After that, VPost will give U a VPostUSA address.

Amazon will provide free shipping to US addresses provided the product is sold by Amazon. If it is through a retailer, you pay for local shipping within USA. U can check the rates before confirm order and if the total cost is not to your liking, you can decline purchase.

After product received at VPostUSA, you will be notified by VPost and made the payment for shipment, my shipment to SG was less than S$30.00 for my recent purchase of Pentax accessories + others, which our dear local agent does not carry.

I am a movie freak so I bought most of my Blu Ray movie at Amazon.

I took this appoarch was due to my disappointment with the local agent's service level. Slow response and instead of them calling me to inform of stock arrives, they suggested that I call them instead.:thumbsd:

Anyway, you have make careful study before overseas purchase by doing your homework. You also can write to Amazon to check if it comes with international warranty.
