Inspired by Duffy's fan shot (http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=434981) Tried it on Marina this time :bsmilie:

Thanks to Duffy, and of course Ivan and Marina.

dun be confused

it's fan grille :)

i like the exposure. very nice

Never said nice or not nice. I don't care if it's the grill, the fan, or what not. but , it does not look like any fan that I know of.

Maybe, loose theat title, let the picture stands on its own would have been a better choice.

Nice concept and great shot :)
my only concern is that the right side some parts look very very dark.

Argh! mine almost nearly half is blur cause i don't know how to manual focus a 50mm lens because it cannot auto focus on my d60 and somemore battery went dead again...so unglam :(

Somehow the main title cannot change.. sorry..

To Zantz, same here, I am salvaging whatever shots I can, many of them OOF too... Hands not stable enough to shoot at f less than 2 ahaha

Time for you to buy new battery la :D

Nothing to do with the "fan" My own personal fav, hope to hear some suggestions if i can improve this image further :)

Thanks Hycool. It's Ivan's new wind machine, which basically a fairly big fan. Just experiment with different perspective. Seems quite a few people like it :).

I have already removed the photos thinking that no one will look at these pics anymore ;p

Good attempt for the first pic, but I think there is too much space on the right that doesn't quite contribute to the picture.

Second pic is nice. Good framing. Not sure if darkening her white collar works better. It kind of drawing the attention away from her face a bit.

you know what happened? i was very sure i charge the battery full but then i left it on the whole night and after halfway going off i got a feeling i might miss out something then after i took out my camera it was on and the battery is 2/3 left

Thats why need to get a spare batt ma haha.
Even if that happens again, no prob. hehe.

I love the composition of the first image. Not your usual run of the mill shots. Being creative is good and fun. It's part of our learning. I've done this thing too back when Ivan's fan was a lot smaller than this. Your monochrome conversion is lovely too.

The second photo is okay but your bokeh is "dirty". I know you shot this at iso 100 that's why i don't understand why it looks dirty to me. We're you shooting RAW?

Thanks draeger. Yes how you know I shoot RAW? :bsmilie:

I dont know why the "dirty" bokeh came about although I shooting at ISO 100. I just changed my lens to a f/1.4 50mm, the shots that came out many of them had this problem. But I suspect could also be the way I post-process. Let me get home and check the original image again, will get back to you regarding this. :)

Welcome Duffy, love your works. :)

I'll try masking out the collar and darken it see if it works better, if it does I'll post the result here again :) Thanks for the suggestion!

i guess must be Ivan's wind machine :p

hycool: you mean ivan's new wind machine?

zantz: batt flat again?? haha.. time to get a spare batt. 3rd party will do.

:bsmilie: It is the new wind machine, though it looks like an industrial fan to me!
