The Critique Corner amuses me lately...

Has anyone noticed that lately, lots of people are posting multiple pictures, pictures without write-ups, etc, in the Critique corner (more than the usual I mean). Last night/this morning there seemed to be a flood...

And ironically, if you tell them to read the guidelines (only one picture per week, provide a write-up, don't post a huge image, use a resized one) and then still dig through their mis-linked image to provide them with some initial feedback, you get lovely PMs calling you rude. :bsmilie:

Never read the guidelines, then complain when someone points them out to you... :bsmilie:

Some people are too thin-skinned.

Here's a classic example of a PM I receive:

"That was REALLY RUDE! I did want some comments on it. I just tried and i don't see what's the big problem. You need lessons in manners! I'm going to delete the thread.
Forget I ever wrote it.

P.s By the way, it was a photorapher tat pointed me to that thread!"

See? I told people that CS kopitiam likes to suan people even when an issue is over. This issue has been drawn to a close, but somebody is trying to flame it up again. We will wait till the CSer sees this. I'll be happy to see the aftermath. Even a moderator here condones this action and is doing nothing.

mod bashing is not something i condone here.
if you have an issue with a mod then bring it up in the proper forum.

and at the same time you can request to have a no suanning rule

I will be closing it but would invite comments on how we can continue to improve the Critique Corner in a separate thread.

Most prominent problem is newer members do not bother to read the guidelines before posting.
