I love landscape photography, and I knew of a few locations in our precious Woodlands where great sunset hides. I am thinking of organising an outing for sunsets in Woodlands before 2009, so if you're interested or have an idea, chip in!

Preliminary plans for outing on Saturday 29 October 2008

  1. The rurals behind Marsiling apt. block 200+, Admiralty Road West I believe
  2. Admiralty Park (near water maybe?)
  3. Woodlands Town Garden
  4. Woodlands Industrial Estate (for the industrial looks)
  5. Highest point in Woodlands (I'm not very sure about the exact location)

Preliminary plans
5:00pm ~ 5:30pm: Meetup at Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange
5:30pm ~ 6:00pm: Proceed to the location, meanwhile a little mingling amongst ourselves will be a plus
5:30pm ~ 7:30pm: Photograph!
7:30pm ~ 8:15pm: Return to Causeway Point

Admiralty Road West area eh? I took a cloud that roughly looked like a human figure over there once, went there on bicycle, but that was 3 years ago ;p

Maybe we can organise something of that sort too lol, there's this road I remembered where newspaper came out an article about, some sort of WWII-era underground passageway into Malaysia, around the old Admiralty Jetty I think. Great sunset scene, haven't been there for quite some time now.

Details not worked out yet, but I am really looking forward to organise one here in Woodlands.

Assumably, it will not be one day, otherwise, it will be just plain isn't it, haha. So maybe 2 weekends, before January 2009, preferably end-Dec, as for location, time to meet, let see how the discussions here goes, I'm sure by December we can work out all details or plans. :)

I will be very interested to join. Been wanting to go there to take some sunset but usually its either bad weather day or lazy bug.

Yeah man, weather been bad these few weeks, can't even get a decent sunset, which just a few years before, was rather easy. And just when I wake up, the pretty sunrise is almost over. Argh! Haha.:thumbsd:
