Boom!

My first try on taking the bursting of water balloons. Did quite a number of tries and only a few turned out just okay.

They're not appealing to me. I find a lack of proper focus on the droplets.

well, i feel some tension embedded in these shots.. if u are trying to bring across tat idea/message, i think it worked on me..

the lack of focus (not sure if was intentionally done) kinda brought out tat sense of tension a little bit more..

one thing tho, might have been better if the composition was tighter? might bring more attention to ur subject..

:thumbsup: for #2. Liked that pic! It has a *squish* or *plak* or *blomb* effect.
Perhaps, a lil sharpening and it'll be more wow.

Yeah thanks for your comment. I thought of cropping it smaller but I thought that the balloon in the black background would bring the attention directly to the balloon because nowhere else in the picture can the eyes look at.
But I'll try a tighter composition next time.

#2 and #3 caught my attention. Knowing how challenging it is to take these shots, I feel for you; esp taking it for the first time. I wouldnt even come close. Keep shooting~

Pic 2 is appealing, it's so unlike most of these high speed shots. The rest aren't good though. Your exposure time isn't enough to freeze the frame.

Yeah, was tough trying to get the right timing and wasted quite a number of shutter counts too.
