sharing my new DIY camera neck strap.

hihi all, was feeling quite bored with my camera neckstrap so i decided to hack my old one and change the fabric on it. it looks so nice now! hurhur.

taken with my n82, feels so weird taking photos with this now. haha.

i have no worries abt it holding because i believe u just sew it over the load bearing area. but i think guys will not want it cos its too flowery and it might not hold up well against dirt, water and the elements.

yupp it will, i actually sewed into the leather of the strap holder. and did lots and lots of tugging of the thing after sewing it.

haha yeah, guys wont want it of course. but yeah, its just for fun. i got kinda sick of looking so like the other camera neckstraps i see around, so i decided to modify it for fun.

Think I'll consider making a padded 'wrap-around' with velcro for neck part so it can be removed to wash.

Customize neckstrap. Alot of possibility in this. Just make sure it's durable and comfty.

I will use silk. The fabric is light, soft, extremely strong and durable, and it is washable. (hand wash of course)

I use some old neck ties i have. I used to have those funny pattern ones. Just snip it off one side and pull thru. but need to tailor a bit becoz the size across the strap will not be straight. I have a few, alternate use, can wash.
