Dry Cab humidity level won't go higher

hey guys!
as stated, it wont go any higher than 40% no matter which direction i turn.
i'm using those with a digital reading facing outwards which you have to turn the knob of the humidity inside at the rear of the dry cab.
problem happened for quite awhile...
anw, will it 'harm' the camera or anything if the humidity level is lower?

45-55 its best...lower will dry the rubbers and grease....:thumbsd:

lol i know. it's stated in the manual. but my humidity level wont go higher than 40

You have to let some 'moist air' in.

1) open the door for ~3-5mins, wait for RH to rise till ~60%
2) Tune the control, close the door
3) Observe after an hour or two
4) Repeat 1-3 if RH is still too low and re-tune the RH control

Do you have the cabinet in an aircon room?
Keep in mind that the cabinet you have works constantly but without active feedback loop. Means: the dehumidifying unit always runs and pushes moist from inside to outside. The knob is only to adjust the level of dehumidifying. The result depends on the residual RH. If the residual RH is already low (due to aircon) the result will be too dry, no matter how low you set the unit. Switch off the unit and watch the RH meter over night. What is the reading after 12h?

yes, aircon room, but aircon's on only at night. and the level is still the same as without aircon. no matter which direction i turn the knob towards, it still ends up below 40%. i could let it up till 60% previously.

Sounds strange. Get a second RH meter to verify the reading. If you can verify the readings it seems the regulation knob is faulty and the electrical unit needs replacement. Just unmount the whole unit (6 screws) and bring it to Digihub, don't forget warranty card! They exchange one-by-one and you can remount the new one. Have done it for a 50l unit, piece of cake.

The AD series has a small battery-powered RH meter. It's not connected to main power.
