Hi all,

Was at Seletar Sembawang Camp recently, found the place extremely interesting. However, a little sad that such a wonderful place is soon making way for more developments :(

I would like to share some shots with you:

#1 The House of Symmetry

Will share more shots soon.

Hey DarNikon, share more fast! It's the place we guys from Sembawang went to last weekend wasn't it?
Was it hard for you to find the place?
Hahaha when I saw the thread title I thought it was a thread to spite the other Seletar Camp thread. Anw yeah the bottom line is, yup post more!

Hahaha...thanks PyeeL - nop it was not difficult finding the place - it's all the way back - very close to the entrance of the Combat Engineers camp entrance - very interesting place - you also get a feel about the place - go check it out :)

cheers

Hi Bro ! I took this shot too. But yours look way better than mine :) (that's why I did not post it....hehe)

Hi Azman, thanks man - hey, don't worry about it man...just post your photo, everyone looks at a photo differently and appreciate its uniqueness - who knows :)

Thanks again, cheers

Oh, I've been there. The previous Sunday.

Another place disappearing due to 'improvements'...
The air used to be so fresh over there, I always get a sense of calmness going through the place on my bicycle or jogging. Now, all I get is pollution from vehicles and torn up patches of grassland. Certainly going to be worse once they tear down the nice colonial houses which are now sadly vacant....

There was a nice stream just before Seletar Country Club, with lotus, small fishes but well it was 'improved on'

I've been thinking of trying to capture on photo these before and after 'improvements' but just don't have the skill to do it. :(

Hi pinholecam..yeah that has been the focus of my photography so far...I am trying to capture these places before they are gone for good...like so many other places...punggol, miss the wonderful canopy of trees towards the end, the sentosa coastline...yes, gone to the IR...even within the housing estates...wonderful greenery is making way to ...gosh...more buildings.

Hopefully, the lens will capture the natural beauty of what S'pore used to be, once.

cheers

More shots of this Wonderful Place:

#1 - The Amazing Tree - I was in awe when I saw this - Cannot imagine the history they will be destroying when they cut this down :(

#2 - Caught sight of this old camp - think it was previously used as a school for cadets. I poster coloured it for added effect.:)

Sad that development is taking away everything we love. One day, Singapore will be unrecognizable to us, and with a government which runs the country as a profit making enterprise, many may choose to leave. Mind if i post some of my pics of the camp too?

to reach those places, is there any bus service within the camp? the last time i had been there was quite a few years ago, i rmb 1 bus service in the camp that takes ages to come. but it dun go to those places u've posted.

Hi takeshi.lum - i don't think there is a bus service - you need to walk in from the main gate -since I also see a lot of NS men from the combat engineers div walking in - but it's ok la...while u walk - lots of interesting opportunities for photo shoots. I have been there about 4 times, yet I still find new things everytime I go there :)

cheers

Nice series. So photographing is allowed in the camp now?

Baker Street is outside the Army Camp. Last time the whole base is out of bound to civilian but now the whole base is sub divided into many camps. Within this camp, no camera is allow.

As long as you have not pass any camp entrance, ie with guards, you are consider to be out the restricted area. Therefore photo taking is allow.
