hi, i would like to ask, whether there is a need to power up the cabinet even if there's nothing inside ( for example, i'm out for shooting ). or switch it on 24/7?
:dunno:

of course leave it off.

Personally I will save the trouble and just leave it on. up to ya.

u can off it actually but u will then have to manually on it again every time the RH goes above some level (i guess 50%?) if u dun find this troublesome.

the machanism inside is supposed to switch itself off once the RH inside the cabi goes below the pre-set value thus saving ele. I guess if the auto-shut off function is not working then u resort to manual switching.

Leave it on.... else it'll have to work to get it down from our humidity level of 70-80% down to the required 45% or so.. and this will take a while.

and nt to mention that you keep powering off and on your stuff, higher chance of failuring.

its like turning off your fridge everytime u leave the house, cos u got no food inside.

and the cabinet only consumes like a meagre 5W an hour. juz leave it on la.

Oh for goodness sake... !
A dry cabinet is not a Ceiling Light or a TV Set; just leave it on 24/7. It only consumes a couple of watts.
Turn it off and the humidity will build up, and LPPL, you get fungus despite having a dry cab...

I keep mine on all the time.
