I made one but never used it. The dangling thing is too annoying... I just use breathing techniques I learnt while shooting air pistol

it doesn't look good when your covering an event..

I guess for low-light photography, it might help a bit. But frankly, you should be able to get similar support bracing against a lamp-post, railings, etc. A bit fiddly, so I wouldn't bother.

I think it'd be more useful for camcorders, though...
