No idea where to post this, but any body has any idea where to shoot sunrise?like, near the beach so i can try out HDR shooting

....how many beaches do we have? Changi is one of them facing east. There's Pasir Ris Park... Sembawang Park or try go to any kelongs too

the best place would be in the east area which it's pasir ris park or changi beach :D

what's kelongs?

you dont need sunrise/sunsets to try HDR. You can do it anytime. :)

I know, but I like sunrises and sunsets,so wanna try my hand at them

i know,but like,wondering exactly where,was thinking lower seletar

i think in landscape photography, GND/reverse GND is more important than doing HDR. Maybe its just me, my shots with GND filter turns out better than my HDR.

hmmm....probably,don't really have much practice at landscape, more of wildlife guy, lol, trying my hand out at HDR,than maybe move on somewhere else :)

changi beach

any reservoir

punggol beach

taking a picture that doesn't look like it's singapore doesn't depend on location, it depends on your composition and framing. cheers and have fun.

then frame out into the open seas.

it's all about mentality. if you keep telling yourself that it'll look like singapore inevitably you are going to build an invisible box where you end up restricting yourself to only shooting "singapore typical scenes". scrape that mentality, and just look at all the angles..

zerodivine here also shoots scenes that don't look like singapore. but i assure you, most of his singapore landscapes are "singapore".. :bsmilie:

and of course imran (ibs here) also does prove your point so very wrong.

Do these:

look like Singapore to you? I assure you they are all shot in Singapore.

As night86mare said, it's not so much the location as it is the composition.

the 2nd one looks a bit like a reservoir

then frame out into the open seas.
