I was thinking of buying a backpack that can hold my camera+lenses as well as my laptop when I travel, and while searching around, I came across Crumpler's Bucket: http://www.crumpler.com.sg/Lite/English/Products/Bucket-Western-Lawn-BU02A.html?image=1

That gave me an idea, I already have a fairly roomy normal haversack with a laptop compartment, so all I need now is something like the Bucket to fit into my haversack and "complete" my camera backpack.

Just wondering if anyone knows of other brands other than Crumpler with similar products (a camera/lens "bucket" that I can just slip into my haversack)? I'm just looking to see if there's a wider range to choose from other than just Crumpler. Some quick searching on Google didn't turn up anything useful.

Any suggestions will be welcome! :)

A toploader would only be for the body with lens attached? I'm looking for something that can at least take my K100D with 16-50mm/2.8 attached, Tamron 70-300, and a flash. I currently have the Lowepro Photo Runner, but it's a bit cramp for all that. Plus with the batwing waist strap it actually takes up more space than necessary when I slip it into my haversack = not maximising the space in the haversack for the equipment. So I'm actually looking for something a bit larger, and without all the external straps/pockets/bulge. The Crumpler Bucket series looks promising, but I won't know till I take a look at them... If it's not significantly better, I'll just stick to using my Photo Runner. Save $$$.

Try TCW and look for Safrotto soft insert bags. They come in a range of sizes and relatively cheap too. Bring your gear and the backpack along to check for size fit.

haha the crumpler buckets won't fit in a backpack very well, i'd suggest looking at other options like inserts.

Thanks guys! Indeed the inserts look like a better option. I'll go check them out when I have the chance.
