hi all...someone offer me this Nikkor AF 35-70 1:1.3~4.5 at around 90....worth to get???but i go to website to check...i cannot get the infromation leh...got this lens mah??hahah...this is a around 3 yrs lens....
wht is this lens use for normally???how abt in low light???and compare to 50mm F1.8..thx

1)50mm AIS f1.4
2)50mm AF f1.8
3)35-70mm (above one)
4)any similar to these...pls recommed....

First of all, you missed out one piece of information necessary for others to help you give u pointers... which cam are you using?

These are either MF lenses or AF lenses and to the newer DSLRs, you may have to MF allthe way, metering may also be an issue with the older lenses.

Are you sure the f-stop range is f/1.3-4.5 ? Or is it 1:3-4.5 ?

To be honest.. if you don't know what is the use for this lenses you may not need them - but you need more reading about lenses, especially the topic about focal length. I recommend This article about "Choosing a lens and basic lens categories.". It doesn't matter that it deals with Canon lenses, the basics are the same for all lenses. I'm sure the Nikon users here can recommend a website giving similar recommendations for Nikon lenses (since you are asking about a Nikkor lens I assume you have a Nikon cam... otherwise you are already on the wrong track).
The basic thing is always: have a purpose and get the lens to support you - not the other way around. A kit lens is already a good tool.

this lens need to MF on your d60.
if you want good low light lens, then AF 50mm f1.4D else the f1.8D version will do fine.
primes sure beat f2.8 lens in low light conditions.
