Efficient use of dry cabinet space?

Hello,

I was wondering if any of you guys had tips on how one can maximise the dry cabinet space. I have a 60 Litre, but I find that it has the potential to contain more cameras, but due to the fact that they only supply three platforms, there's a lot of wastage in between these 'levels'. I have arranged it to maximise space usage, but of course, it's not efficient yet.

I was wondering if any of you have DIYed your own platforms?

the most efficient way to maximize space is to buy whatever you will use

and make sure you think purchases through carefully before you buy

nobody is humanly capable to use every single lens out there, to be honest, i can write down a dreamlist of lenses that i would love to have, including 2 bodies and one modded for ir, i cannot think of ways to fill up 3 shelves!

Of course, sometimes BBB strikes us (haven't we all had that), so perhaps it's time to SSS. Of course, I'd say that if we could lessen the space that cannot be used, that'd be a even bigger plus than any SSS would. After all, we're paying for what air we dehumidify, especially when we don't get to use the space, no matter how cheap.

well, typically i give myself six months to think about a purchase

if i'm still thinking about it then, it means i want it and i will use it

the shelfs are adjustable.

I only using a 100 lt model, with the original configuration, but I can have one Bronica SQ, three lenses, four film backs, one pola back, one Nikon F90x with MB, 3 DSLR body, plus MB, couple of lenses, many filters, two flashes, many cables, light meter, batteries, batter pack etc etc......all inside the cabinet,

it only depends how you can organize them.

There are plenty of storage boxes out there in all DIY markets, even normal supermarkets offer stackable boxes. Make sure you have some airflow and you can use them to put in smaller bits and pieces.
But keep in mind: there is some space needed to maintain airflow. The cabinet has no internal fan.

WOW Ben! Do any of your kids show an interest in photography? I wish my dad had a cabinet filled with equipment like that!

csisfun, I'm not a physics student so that more efficient and even drying is carried out. Just a thought that's all.
