like extra workload , ask u to come back on weekends.
insult you sometimes and giving you extra jobs than your colleagues;(
can anyone pls give some suggestions?

if he insults you, you dun go look for a new job.

You screw and insult him back before u resign and look for new job, if possible backstab him before u go.

but then again, it depends on what kind of insults u received...

just a fresh grad pay , i believe it is easier to get a new job right ?

hm.. maybe that 's a good idea , since is a direct superior just blown up the matter and made her feel embarassed to her bosses right ? haha well.. she is a sinister , i guess her lifestyle is imbalanced , work no life

since u are still at the fresh grad level aka entry level, dun worry, its definitely possible to find another job. u are still so young, if they dun wan u, who else will they want?

somemore, since urs is fresh grad pay, that means u are not tied down to the company at all. just leave.

wat is ur degree?

Are you sure the supervisor has something against you? My experience with entry level staff is that I will assign more tasks to the ones that are capable. For the ones that CMI, I will leave them as is and get rid of them quickly. As for working on weekends, sometimes tasks cannot be done during work days and will have to be done when others are not working. Sometimes there is a need to rush a certain task so have to work on weekends.

Unless you have evidence that the supervisor is really targeting you and try to make live difficult for you, more tasks than others and ask you to come back on weekends might not be what you think.

This is definitely absolutely true.. and i was thinking abt that earlier,

but i re-read again, and saw the keywords "insults you" comes in... this is where everything is going wrong. I dun think anyone has the right to be insulted.

I also have a different view on "insulting words". Some people is more sensitive than the others. When they heard strong words from their boss, they felt insulted but perhaps the boss has no such intention. I would like to know what kind of words TS considered as "insulting words". Of course abusive words are different and that is quite clear to most people.

Insulting somebody is a big a no no in the company I'm currently working in. Employees are encouraged to report such unacceptable attitudes to the HR for them to investigate, and prevent it from happening to others.

Assigning more work and asking you to work on weekends aren't considered out of bounds however. Unless of course you can prove that you really are being discriminated against.

:Later,

How did your superior insult you? You got chided for doing something wrongly? You intepret all of your superiors words as insults?

Why did your superior insult you? You always late for work? You always cannot finish your work on time? You don't contribute at work? You take too many breaks? You are unproductive? You always make mistakes?

What was the reason you had to work on the weekend? UAT? It was expected of you to begin with? It was your turn to work on the weekend? It was a peak period for work? Someone was missing from work and some work had to be completed within a specific time?

Leave the company if you really cannot stand the way your superior behave.

Just to share an insult I exp from my attachment with a MNC.

I told my supervisor that I have not get my allowance after waiting for 5 days and my bank account balance is running low (Since I do not receive any pocket money from parents during attachment), he told me this: "You are so fat, no need to eat also can work."

Well... If you have to work in a unhappy environment, its a real torture.

Good luck :)

Just leave the company. Simple, won't be hard to get jobs, no need to act childish here. That's what I did and got a new task (promotion if u want to call it), in just less than 1 1/2 mths. No need to think twice.

It is tempting to just give up and look for new job. But will the new job guarantee stress free and work free environment?

Could it be she is testing your stress load? If you can prove you did a good job every time without complain, it means she looks up to you. But as to why she likes to scold sometimes is probably because you are worth teaching. Have you come across colleagues who are totally hopeless and useless 930am to 4pm bimp headed? Those are not even worth scolding. The superior simply ignores and pass the work to someone more trustworthy to complete.

You might be the one she trust can complete her job. Stay on abit longer in this job and complete your work and report to her with a smile each time. Ladies holding power in office do have a softspot for smiles. After some months excelling in your duties, make your demand (ie payrise, new role, etc).

Maybe by then, you wont be thinking about leaving your job.

Whatever it is, al the best to you!

What the... can't believe I'm reading this.

To TS, in life, jobs come, jobs go. There's no such thing as a job worth hanging on to at all costs.

Be civil about the matter, and tell your supervisor to watch his/her language/tone. Don't at any time use vulgarities/expletives etc. Be totally professional about it and tell your supervisor to back down.

I've seen many cases where someone is condemned. Meaning, regardless of how hard you work, how much you try to please, you're just marked for f***ing. If your company is large enough, switch to another section. Change is always good. If it's a small startup/local venture, not worth hanging around in such sh_t hole.

Stand your ground, carve your own way. Regardless of what people make you think, at the end of the day, YOU bring your own rice bowl.

Different people, different strokes.

The TS is just venting and we are not even sure about the details as to how he was ill treated or what reasons the scolding were for. Or is he just lamenting?

In religion, we learn about humility and perseverance. In work, some may apply it, while the rest just screw the f....r. Not happy, pick a fight and make sure you win. Hence, some people feel job hopping is the way to rise to the top. Maybe thats how Bill Gates succeed, but maybe, not everyone is lucky like him.

Carry on with this attitude and lets hope the TS will find a job with no scolding, no work no stress.

Anyway, I am outa this comforting discussion. Say what you like guys to encourage him.

Peace and God bless all of you.

whatever you do..... don't go backstab your supervisor or screw up anything... leave on a good note..

the world is a much smaller place than you think.... you never know when the screw up you left behind and the people that had to clean up the mess will one day become your superiors, colleagues or worse... the person interviewing you in another company.....

ok , there is this scenerio whereby girl from China was labelled as ..sumtin like , hey china girl , do this thing for me . that 's a indian boss ,
does it consider insulting?? well the girl try to msn and smile to her all times... but still get extra workload that doesn't belong to her .
made her to come back over the weekends where other colleagues no need to come back , so i dun think is fair right?
