Photoshop CS2 and CS3

Dear Moderators and Sifus,
I have just upgraded my computer to Core 2 Dual 2.4 GHz and ram 4 G. I would like to learn how to do photoshop. Could you please advise me which program should I begin with: CS2 or CS3 ? What are the differences between two? I thank you.

CS3 is the newer version (obviously), but if you can get a copy of CS2 it will more than sufficient! They interface between the two is pretty much identical. There are loads and loads of photoshop tutorials online and, while it is a very capable program, expect to put in lots of effort learning how to use it. Have fun!

Peachpit Press publishes a lot of books concerning graphics applications like Photoshop. You might look for the book in the Visual Quickstart Guide line to get you started. They also publish the RealWorld, Wow!, and Adobe Press lines of books.
