$130 and 4 demerits points for driving 84km/h on the expressway....

Damm!!! this is my first speeding offence since 1994.

Why on earth did they make the speed limit so slow and call it an expressway???..eee!!

Already there are so many jams all over the island and the only expressway where i can decently move at about 80km/h, they put the speed limit to 70km/h.....

Just ranting off my anger...

i thought most section of expressway speed limit is 90km/h, sure got +/- one mah, like when go up slope, car will slow down, than some driver will acc. after the top, come down hill, it will pick up speed even if you let go acc. paddel to save petrol.

eg, pie, the flyover beside bukit timah plaza.

didnt know they want singaporean to keep to speed limit within 3 sigma tolerance.:bigeyes::sweat::sweat:

The worst is kena saman for driving in bus lane. A fine is sufficient. Why the hell do they need to give demerit points for that? It's not a dangerous act by any means.

actually... it is not your usual speed camera. i read in the papers they are using speed lasers, which is why it is so accurate.

LTA should share the KPE surveillance technology with the folks at Whitley Road....

i read its located near the exit towards the PIE. Look up and u will see the box on the ceiling

also marina square loop. every weekend after mid night can hear lots of "F1" roaring when i shooting at esplanade waterfront.

The KPS speed camera is situated at the start going one way, and the end going the other way. I can't remember which direction is which. But basically once you get past / or are way before the speed camera depending on which direction you're going, it's a-ok to go above 70 already.

This one tried and tested by me already. I got one speeding ticket there when it first opened, after that, never kena anymore.

70km is the min speed.. until now, i don't have any chance to drive through KPE.haha..
but i think +-10km/h should be find for the normal expressway.
I did heard from class 95 DJ mention that they are using lazer to detect speeding.

For driving in a bus lane, you only get fined. They've removed the demerit points if you get caught driving in a bus lane some time ago already. See the list of traffic offences which attract demerit points below :
