Hi all~! A newbie here~
Just got my canon 40D 2 weeks ago and got this Emoblitz D728AF last week.

I thought something is wrong with the way I set my shutter and aperture initially but after I went to take a look at the videos in www.abetterbouncecard.com, did a bounce card as shown, use it on Emoblitz... I found out something has really gone wrong!

Because I got the below picture as the first shot with the first flash (with bounce card) at my dark kitchen

Then, happily;) with my bounce card, I took another shot, and I got the second pic! THe other pics all look like second one.

My settings are
manual mode
shutter speed - 50
aperture - 5.0
iso - 200

Erm... what is the problem? Anyone help please?!

Did you see you flash firing? If so, set a even shorter shutter say 1/10 and see if it has any impact?

Actually the two pictures are taken as example to show everyone in order to get helps.

I've tried with slower shutter, higher ISO, Aperture 4.0.
Taken in front of mirror, sometimes see the flash coming out weak.

Change new batteries and try again.

But seems that I am always getting good flash fired on the first shot, inconsistence flash for the subsequence shots.

Switch off all the "on" buttons, took out the external flash, put it back again, switch on and tadaaaa....~
I got the nice flash again but stupid flashes for the 2nd,3rd, 4th shots...

By the way, thanks for your quick reply~
I also know that external flash require some time to recharge. I did wait for 6 seconds plus before taking the next shot.
Thank you thank u~
