I must say that the images of the K20 really stand out against those from the other camps

I was comparing the image of the old woman with flowers between the Canon 40D and Pentax K200D and the Pentax blows the 40D away. There is more details but more importantly , shadow details are clearly better...

oopps.. so that it is more apple to apple, check out the same lady between the latest 450D and the K200D. If I were that lady, I would have aimed for the Canon bcause my wrinkles and rough patches would not be seen! The K200D really bought the details in the skin texture. This is assuming the conditions in which both images were taken were the same...

Lesson learnt here .................... get a good make-up artist if your photographer is using a Pentax DSLR ........... :think:.....:bsmilie:

Showing details good assets for Pentax ???

I can see the winkles, my mom told me, when taking picture of women, always make sure they look good, when you present their pics to them.

Sharpness must come with atistic representation..

I must say now that I am more than happy with my rookie K100D, The things are the trouble of going intothe menu when need to change WB, or mayble self adjust intelligient WB, Metering, AF-C and AF-S, and ISO...

I really wish they would have these features outside the body in the next Pentax camera and k2OD seem to be using the same 11-points focus as with the k100D ...

I hope the next new Pentax camera will be a eye-opener.

Of course showing details is important. That determines the maximum capability of the camera. If you have more details, you can process them away if you need lesser but not vice versa. That is why image quality is important.

I will be showing this site to my friends. A few N members were talking about going for high end N cameras and when I mentioned Pentax, they all laughed! If I show them this site, I don't think they will be converted but I am pretty sure the laugh would be more bitter now....
