i was looking out from my window early in the morning when i saw a very beautiful sunrise and i wanted to capture it on HDR.

so i did a stitch with 3 exposures. i had 5 but the clouds were moving and it caused pretty bad ghosting... so i sticked with 3...

i felt it was pretty alright but...
but it seems non of my friends fancy my HDR.
i dont know what is wrong with this HDR.

*edited*

How about this for a start: the white balance is really quite far off; there is an unnatural blue hue.

actually, i think best to start with composition.

1) far too much space

2) the composition is quite off to me, there does seem to be an attempt at not-so-cluttered framing but still, i think it can be done better, the arrangement of the flats and blocks.

ts - if you are on a high floor, perhaps a landscape view would be better to prevent this overdone space syndrome.

get the composition right, before caring about hdr, etc. here the hdr is overdone, much too saturated, blue cast is dominant, and should be corrected as calebk has pointed out.

yes white balance needs to have a more warmer feel. i think the image would look better if its shot landscaped.

from your title its pretty known that the building aren't the main attraction here but its the sunrise.. so leaving out the buildings should be fine and focusing more of the sunrise.

but because the buildings on the other side was a little too distracting...
hmmm guess i will need to try again.

oh didnt really realise the hue problem...
think i should seperate into two then make the bottom warmer?

as for the overdone HDR...
i dont understand...

what is the definition of proper HDR?
haha i see the other HDR all like very extreme but very nice....:bsmilie:

anyways... is it alright to say.... replace the photo i posted on top?
say later on i delete the first post and post one more photo... is it allowed?

i did another attempt with another view...
not exactly landscape but now with more of the sunrise..

this time i tried to fix the blue hue in the building...

the clouds in your opinion are they considered overdone?

is this revised version any better from the previous one?
