Pentaxian Gathering in June, open for suggestions :)

It was a great time meeting all of you last Sat. I like to thank all who came to spend time with fellow pentaxians, it was fun. I hope we can make this a monthly event.

So lets get some ideas out on the next outing, and date. I think for our next outing, we start early at 8.30am. Last Sat we all met up about 9-9.30am, then only about 9.45am we started walking. So lets start early this time people.

For next month, I would suggest on Sat 7th or 21st June, so given ample of time for all to block that date for the next outing . For location wise, lets see what we can decide in the next few weeks Can suggest other dates as well, but for me I will not be available during the 14th and 15th June weekend.

art2d2, an outing on June 21 will clash with this event (Church on the move) that some on this forum have committed to. The date also falls within the tail end of the one month school holidays. I think you may need to reconsider your proposed date.

As a venue, I'd like to recommend the new HortPark off Alexandra Road. Nice location for macros but little or no food outlets nearby. However it would be best to try to start earlier in the day not only because of the heat but because the quality of light is better.

Thanks for the reminder Denis. I was not aware of the event. Anyway, we can always change the date, thats why I am asking for suggestions HortPark is quite near my working place. That would be a good place to explore.

Just when for a walk there yesterday. Nice environment and it is linked to the Kent Ridge Park too. Guess the nearest makan place there is the Alexandra Village (400m from HortPark) opposite the Alexandra Hospital.

HortPark has food outlet but understand not cheap.

I was passing by yesterday pushing MBT bike from Kent Ridge Park to Mt. Faber.

Why not just goto Alexandra Hospital Butterfly trail, lots of butterflies, insects and flowers. Not too big and there are benches around when u all wanna do sharing. There are food centers and shopping centers neraby^^ Parking should be easier to for those driving.

Is this the location directly near HP Alexandra? There is a new bridge across Alexandra road. Nearby is a food-centre called Gillman food-court. Also very near to Alexandra Hospital. ya, lights in the morning is better.
