Things to take note

1. Equipment are all provided for, you will not have to bring your equipment down to the charity drive.

2. Each volunteer will have to pay S$2 for each of his/her meal. We are currently tight on the budget and will request everyone's co-operation to contribute a small sum to your own meal. Should each meal cost less than S$2, we will refund the difference. Should each meal cost more than S$2, it will be covered by us.

3. Volunteers are reminded to bring your own water bottle. After finishing the bottle of water, you can fill it up again at water dispensers provided. Bottled water will still be provided, should you need to open a new bottle, please use a marker to write your name on the bottle to avoid confusion and wastage.

4. You may be assigned a task different from that requested or allocated to, because of situations on the ground. We need all volunteers' cooperation to help make sure that the work flow is adhered to.

5. Sun protection! (cap, sunblock, and 1 water bottle, though drinks will be provided)

6. Presentable attire for hot weather (white top preferred for ease of identification)

7. Be at the venue 10 min before the start of your shift so that we can brief you on the tasks

8. Be courteous at all times, do not engage in an argument with visitors.
Should problem arise, always refer to core group volunteers at the venue for help

9. bring your smile :)

Any plans for rainy day?

Any plans for rainy day?

In event of rain, all participants are to immediately stop operation and find shelter in the tentages, below Esplanade Bridge and also at One Fullerton.

All equipment will have to be consolidated in the tentages where possible. Should there be a constraint of space, a few volunteers will be asked to move some equipment to nearby shelters under the instruction of core group volunteers.

All operations will resume after the rain.

According to NEA http://app.nea.gov.sg/cms/htdocs/article.asp?pid=1088
this period is the pre-monsoon season, so we should not be expecting prolonged rain, but afternoon and early evening rains may be common.

Just wondering... if they request to send the image by email, how?
Or ask them to long another $10...I am more than happy to pick up this chore

Dear Volunteers,

Please do not accede to request from donors in bid of getting more donations.

It will reflect very badly on the group.

We should keep to our initial plans and do our best.

If in doubts, please look for the on site Core Members for further advice.

Regards
Andrew

For those attending the morning shift, please eat something or buy something to eat especially if you didn't take any breakfast.

And always remember to keep cool and bring your smiles with them even sometime their requests are abit "funny". Careful with Tour guide who ask for a "Profit Sharing" but also dun condemn all as some are really really very nice.

It was a good weekend.

Thanks to all who came down to help out especially the PR people who were working really hard.

Thanks everyone :thumbsup::thumbsup:

That was one tour guide who cross the line, but we just smile and walk away. We do get tour guides who were just too busy to help and we respect them for their job but many were helpful and help to explain what we were doing to the tourist. Some of the tourist took the lead and donated without taking a photo.

If any of the tour guild is on CS and is reading this, thank you :)
