guys, lets analyze why you need a tripod.
big heavy lens, panning (tracking the subject), panning (for pano), time lasp photography (sequence shot of a flower blooming), long exposure etc.
now, you know the flyer turns 360deg in about 30min ie 0.2deg/sec. i assume most of us want to shoot cityscape from up and above.
daytime, the most push iso to 400, at f8, using 24-50mm lens (=in FF), even shooting at 1/30 sec for sunset shot hand hold is not a probem with correct holding technic.
night time, with iso100, f8, typical exposure time is 4-5sec. so that means about 1deg rotation in the flyer. so now, do you think tripod is going to help?
