I have quite a few len filters. I bought them about 10 years ago. Recently, I used them to stop down shutter speed because i shoot wide open. One of the filters, I have never use before and keep in the plaster holder. I tried to clean it with spectacle cloth but to no vain. Is there any solution i can use to clean them. i have 2 polarisers. if the solution get in between the 2 glasses, will it make them worse? Do i need to keep my filters in the dry box? Please advise.

Hi, Hazmee.

how is your arm? can i use Benzine? E-wipes is new to me because i am still shooting slides. Thanks for your information as i will buy digital soon.

Try using a water dampened cleaning cloth to clean it. If it doesn't work, you can get the E-wipes from Cathay Photo. Link here: http://www.photosol.com/ewipeproduct.htm Just fyi, it's costly for a pre-moistened methanol tissue. Hope that helps.

My wrist is still in cast. Have another week to go through before going for check up. Thanks for asking. ;)

I wouldn't recommend using benzine because it might eat the coating away. If water doesn't work, get the Photosol Eclipse E2 Solution from Cathay. It is methanol based and very gentle on coating. Hope that helps.
