Hi,

I've read in the forum that dry cabinet or dry box is neccesary to keep the camera and lenses out of the moistures. Is there any other things that I have to know in order to keep my cam and lenses in good condition?

Btw, I'm working in oil and gas field and will be travelling a lot to other countries, which I think it's a good opportunity for me to take lots of pics. However, I'll be working on a ship in the middle of the sea for most of the time, and my concern is whether sea breeze will harm my camera or not? Any suggestion to protect it? Or its just not recommended to bring my camera with me?

Thanks a lot.

u can bring it out to shoot. but when u are not using it, clean the exterior/lens (for eg.: at night, maybe) and keep it in the drybox (with silica gel) or dry cabinet.
while travelling, keep the ur gear in a camera bag (also with silica gel in the bag) to protect the camera/lenses/accessories and to keep it dry.

don't think sea breeze is a concern. just rmb to keep it properly when not in use.

Ok. Thanks for the advice.

juz curious where can we get the silica gel?
