Hi guys,

I'll be going for a short trip in Bangkok in mid May.
Can you guys recommend me hotels to stay in?
I'm not going for those very high class or what.

Maybe say, a hotel which is convenient.

Btw, heard that there's a very famous temple there.
Any idea what temple is that?

Advices are most welcome.

Thanks alot in advance. =)

For convenience you can't go wrong with Novotel Siam Square. That's my preferred choice. Alternatively Pathumwan Princess at MBK.

I usually stick to this 2. Though I've tried Amari Watergate and Arnoma. :)

Is this the one beside asia hotel?

Baiyoke Sky Hotel or Baiyoke Boutique Hotel? :)

My wife and I stayed at Baiyoke Sky Hotel before. We find it not convenient for skytrain. Walking time to reach skytrain = 30min minimum.

u wanna stay near the temple then must stay at Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel.

erawan. u looking for the 4 face buddha right?

Er.. I'll check with my gf about what is it.
Is that hotel u mentioned very expensive?
Hayatt..

Btw, which hotel is near to the city?
I mean like the weekend market and shopping centres... :sweatsm:

baiyoke sky is nice .. but i dunno much if its a convenient location . Taking cab there is pretty affordable though :)

use online hotel portal. can get idea of pricing and the location of the hotels are inside. so easy for u to judge. cheap hotels are usually inconvenient or quite lousy.

i will prefer Amari Watergate.. been there always for business trips.

I'm looking at "asiarooms", but don't know which is better.
As for the price, I think max I'll go for is ard SGD150/Night. (Good enough right?)
Ofcoz, the cheaper the better la... haha..

But which hotel is better? As in, easy to get public transport, near to city shopping n weekend market(though I don't know where is weekend market located at)

Any idea if "Asia Hotel" is good?
Heard that it's just 5 mins walk to weekend market and shopping centre.

Anyone can advice me for the price?
