I've seen some serious kick-ass performance from Sigma, so I expect this lens to be a stunner. But the main questions for me are, how fast would it focus, how does it handle flare and how much would it cost...and whether there would be QC problems.

If it is fast, around 1 months, but can be as long as 3 or 4 months sometimes.

From the looks of it, i don't think the focusing barrel will protrude. Looks like a solid piece.

The filter thread is connected to the lens hood mount.

Nothing to be tempted, it's just a different focal length overall.

I will gaffer and seal up the focusing ring so it's dust-proof! :bsmilie:

If it's like the 30mm f/1.4 it won't. And it should be like it from what I see and would make sense. Grab it and let us know how you like it. But am sure you'll love it.

So far my Sigma experiences have all been A1, so all should be good, but as mentioned if you can try one out first, why not.
