anyone using it right now? any feedback?

what are the prices here in sing? heard it's cheaper/better to get from the US.

Bought it for my gf last year and she is loving every bit of it.
The interface is as cosmetic as what you would expect from Apple.
The link with youtube is interesting as well.

i bought it off the website when it first appeared. Dunno abt singapore prices in stores / shops

I wanted to get one for myself, but I quickly convinced myself otherwise when I read several reviews for it were not very favourable, especially in terms of storage and battery life. of course the storage issue has chnged with the launch of the 32gb version, but I'm not too certain about the battery life.

i got it for my girl as well. It's damn slim and the interface really nice. I got the 16GB version... She will always watch clips on the way home and to work and the battery last for at least 3 days. Still it really depends on usage. 16GB is consider lots of space unless u store lots of songs n photos permanently into the ipod touch. Usually after finishing the clip, i will remove and add in new episodes so that explains why 16GB is considering lots of space for me.

If you love to watch video clips on a portable player, i will highly recommend ipod touch.

can i actually copy a vcd/dvd movies into the itouch...and watch? Those movies in vcd/dvd format supported by itouch?:)

They need to be converted to play on an iPod Touch.

My main gripe: Awful sound quality. But that's inherent to Apple MP3 players anyway. I guess I was just spoiled by iRiver and iAudio.

yes you can, use the converter to change to apple format can already.

I love the way the interface perform, very cool, have one myself.

u cant directly "copy and paste". even on computers, u cant directly "copy and paste" and hope to open that files and play the vcd/dvd (esp DVDs) due to copyright issues.

i tink u can try to convert using the software they provide.

itouch comes with a software that can convert vcd/dvd movies into their format that can playback by itouch? Then, this is great! :D

I use videora (free software) to convert my videos into itouch format~

ic. Usually after converted...how is the file size like? smaller or larger than the original file?

Of course smaller. You're reducing resolution, quality, stripping out audio channels and compressing it.

roughly how much smaller? say for a 4G dvd movies... :) Thanks!

Depends on the quality settings you use. Many such movies online to give you a rough gauge. ;)

But I usually get them to be about 300-400MB.
