If this is supposed to be a test, it is a poor one.
The photos are badly underexposed due to the light background. If the photographer had bothered to get the exposure right the images would be OK. Nothing to do with WB in my opinion.

oic. thks for correcting me. :)

Looks extremely usable up to iso1600. iso3200 also quite usable.

Seems like most hands-on K20D samples I've seen have been rather underexposed (especially the test shots taken in the desert in Dubai). Hopefully this is not due to some new metering algorithm that deliberately underexpose to save highlights?

K20D K20D :)

Hope it reach our shore soon. :)

Those sample of k20d in Dubai and even pentax website, is rather below my expectation... they don't seem to be eye catchy...

In fact I find k20d sample very bad..the words and claims about the quality just doesn't match ...unatural ...

K10D seem to be the real stuff, except the problems of the 22-bit Converter that cause strang noise like effect ..The sample of k20d make me think worst about this.

Those samples from Dubai are probably some quick snaps by some unexperienced user, and it's probably the same w/ those samples on Pentax website.

K20d is a new camera, let's wait for some more time and see more samples before we jump to the conclusion.

I myself on the other hand, found those high ISO samples by K20D are pretty good, better than K10D definitely. I'm sure some would do comparisons between these two :)

I'm guessing those results would look even better (w/ less noise) if they were properly exposed ;)

Do let us know about your finding when you get your set FengWei! :)
Hope it is a worthy upgrade for those who are eyeing on the new K20D.

I'll wait for the price to drop a bit. ;)
Will probably make a trip to HK to get it as I don't expect it to be below a certain price point locally. Plus must pay GST... :thumbsd:

The current price in HK is nearly 10k HKD. Hopefully the price here would be around 1800 :) A bit too pricey, but it's the launch price. I'm sure the price will go down quite a bit after several months. But here in SG, I don't really know. The local price for K10D hasn't dropped at all after over a year of release

Those are terrible pictures exposed wrongly. How can anyone take them as serious test shots is beyond me.
