Hi all,

Im thinking of organizing a Tioman trip during the good friday longweekend. But in order to keep the budget low. Im thinking of driving to mersing and park the car for 2 nights.

The main concern is of coz the security of the car and will like to know if anyone have any experience or advise regarding this.

The budget is about 200 for a 3 days 2 nights stay.

So what is nice in Tioman to do ? Any places of Interest ? What are the do and donts ?

Thanks in advance :)

drove there about 2 years ago. parked the car at "open air carpark" near the jetty. the place was fenced and got someone mann the entry/exit. charged by per night basis IIRC.

can go scuba diving, snorkling, take a spd boat to the south area to go hiking to see waterfall and climb small mountain. star gazing at night a 10x50 bino is gd.

go in late march...the monsoon should be over by then...

to be safe go in april..sunny...clear water...but if u go on wkends be prepare to to greeted by a big crowd of divers or the local holiday dwellers

u can check out salang resort which is rather huge with several eateries to choose from and also a beach bar
