Tomorrow is combined rehearsal, sure on one lah..
Too bad I am working....

i was also there 2-3pm but i was dissapointed not to shoot any F-16 or F-18 :thumbsd:

anyway, i ended up with shots of commercial airlplanes taken while practicing :bsmilie:

hi, anyone got a list of static aircrafts on display?

Those that have visited the airshow during the trade days, are there souvenir stalls where we can buy a polo or t-shirt ?

If I have some time tonight I'll scan the brochure and post it up. Off hand I can name some. F-16, F-18, B-1B, A380, Hermes, Global Hawk, F-15, JSF (but only really accessible to VIPs), C130. Not a very big variety. SAF has a bunch of displays too, including Apache and Leopard.

There're souvenir stalls, in a smaller area separate from the main exhibition area, but I didn't take a good look at what souvenirs are available. It's the same area where the Black Knights conduct their autograph session after the aerial display. Oh, you can buy aircraft models for charity. :)

Just to remind you all, Food is very limited and expensive there. One bowl of mee siam will cost you 6 bucks. And long long queue too.

Will trade visitor be allowed to take photographs of the static display aircraft?
I am planning to go there as trade visitor, because in public days it will be too crowded to be able to take picture of an aircraft without somebody in front of it.

Yes you can. If you go early it can be very quiet, but then must wait longer for air display.

I shot video at the air display yesterday. There is a long fence nearer the sea where you can stand for good view, and the breeze was very nice so not too hot at all. Should wear a hat though or will get burned by the sun.

i am bringing my 4 yr and 2 yr..

u think they can tahan the walk...??

Kids are not recommended for a sunshine walk, especially noon time. It's too hot for kids and they may get fever later if not enuff fluid.
I can't imaging the crowd on sat and sun. It would be like human and vehicle traffic jam, long queue for taking static display and food.

oh man!!

no spectator tent to hide from the sun??

Read somewhere that the parking is a whopping $50 per entry! The highest amount I ever paid for parking was like $25 in one of the buildings in the CBD.

$50 x 2000lots x 4days = $400,000 if the carpark is full. May be more if cars come in and out in a day. That may be like more than half the cost of construction of the car park liao.

Hopefully, this exhibition ground could find some other uses and not become a white elephant, only to be used once every 2years. For exhibition, we already have got Suntec and Expo.

Thanks for the heads up about the souvenirs stall.
